1. The short version

RTO Kit — Employee Rights Center is a static, client-side website. Every tool you use (risk assessments, checklists, email generators, tax-gap estimates) runs entirely inside your own web browser. We do not operate a server-side database, do not ask you to create an account, and do not transmit your answers anywhere.

2. What we store — and where

The site uses your browser's localStorage for exactly two purposes, and nothing else:

  • Language preference (rtokit_lang): remembers whether you chose English or 中文, so the site opens in your language next time.
  • Favorites (rtokit_favs): stores the list of tools, guides and pages you bookmark with the star button, so your favorites page works.

Tool inputs and calculated results are rendered on screen and never written to any storage you cannot see. If you clear your browser site data, both values are simply deleted — there is no backup and no copy held by us.

3. No tracking cookies, no analytics

We do not set any tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo, Hotjar, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party analytics or session-recording script. We do not fingerprint your device, read your browsing history across other sites, or build advertising profiles.

4. Advertising and third-party cookies

To keep the tools free, this site may display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google. Whenever ads are shown, the following disclosures apply:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of other third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.

Advertising cookies never give us — or any advertiser — access to your tool inputs or favorites: those stay in your browser, as described in section 2. We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data, because we do not collect any.

5. Your rights and control

Because everything stays on your device, you are always in control:

  • Clear language preference: press the 中文 / EN toggle again.
  • Clear favorites: open the Favorites page and unsave pages, or clear site data in your browser settings (this removes both localStorage values).
  • Block storage: you may disable localStorage in your browser at any time; the site will simply default to English and favorites will not persist.

6. Children's privacy

The site is intended for working adults researching workplace rights. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because no data is transmitted at all, there is nothing to delete beyond the local values described above.

Our guides link to official sources such as the EEOC, the U.S. Department of Labor, the IRS and state agency websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

5. 您的权利与控制方式

  • 阻止存储：您可随时在浏览器中禁用 localStorage；本站将默认使用英文，且收藏不再持久保存。

6. 儿童隐私

本站面向研究职场权益的成年劳动者。我们不会有意收集 13 岁以下儿童的个人信息。由于根本不传输任何数据，除上述本地值之外没有需要删除的内容。

我们的指南会链接到 EEOC、美国劳工部、IRS 及各州机构网站等官方来源。这些网站有其自身的隐私政策，我们无法控制。
